Om nom nom free custard with brownie bits from the little ice cream place in the Village, courtesy of my college :9 Also, today they brought a ton of puppies to campus and just turned them loose in a giant playpen on the quad, and we got to play with them and hold them :DDD. Sometimes this place really does feel like camp, if you happened to go to camp with a lot of drunk, entitled twentysomethings.

Tonight I'm going out to dinner with my three best friends here at school. We met in the very first week of freshman year, and every year we get dressed up all fancy and go out to celebrate another successful year. It's one of my favorite traditions.

Brian is trying to get me to start reading Neil Gaiman. He's loaned me Neverwhere, and I'm wondering what people think of it? Fantasy's not a genre I'm very familiar with, but I'm definitely going to give it a shot.

This is the second straight day I've had Scissor Sisters stuck in my head, not that I'm complaining. Probably because yesterday was the last day of classes and I'm all in celebration mode. Oh, speaking of music- every season I put together a playlist in iTunes of the songs I was listening to for those couple of months. Would anyone be interested if I UU'd?

\o/ OOH! DON'T YOU GIVE ME THEM BLUES! I GOT MAGIC IN MY DANCING SHOES! \o/

My school never brought in any puppies for us to play with. I FEEL ROBBED OF AN ESSENTIAL FORMATIVE EXPERIENCE.

It's not a very popular memepinion, but I really like Gaiman. He doesn't write the kind of fantasy that's hard to get into if you don't read a lot of the genre, if that makes sense. (Glowing praise! Er, it's been about ten years since I read Neverwhere, so I'm a bit fuzzy on that one.)

I really love Neil Gaiman, though, like [personal profile] dointy said, that's kind of an unpopular opinion. He can be sort of lol edgy, but it's generally just so awesome that I don't care too much. Neverwhere's a good place to start with him, too.

I like Neverwhere, but I think my favorite Gaiman book is American Gods. I know that people tend to either love or hate American Gods with no middle ground, though.
